Choline Chloride
Choline Chloride is an organic compound consists of ammonium salt and alcohol. It has a choline cation and chloride anion. It is important as it is a precursor of acetylcholine which is a methyl donor in various metabolic processes and in lipid metabolism. It delivers essential nutrients and electrolytes to accelerate cell growth in early development stages. In animal feed, Choline Chloride act as a source of vitamin B complex.
Manufacturing Process
Choline chloride (liquid form) is made by chemical synthesis consisting three main raw materials, including ethylene oxide, TMA (trimethylamine), and hydrochloride acid. It is produced by adding trimethylamine hydrochloride to hydrochloric acid and trimethylamine before adding them to ethylene oxide. The dry powder is obtained by absorbing chloride liquid on selected carrier such as cob meal, silica, and then drying to a lower moisture content.
Hazards Identification
Hazard Warnings: During a fire, smoke may contain the original material in addition to combustion products of varying composition which may be toxic and/or irritating. Combustion products may include and are not limited to: Nitrogen oxides., Hydrogen chloride., Chlorine., Carbon monoxide., Carbon dioxide.
Precautionary Statements: P264 Wash hands thoroughly after handling. P271 Use in a well-ventilated area. P280 Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection

Application
Animal Feed
Choline is necessary for chicken to synthesize amino acid and lecithin to be sent to the inner body of the chickens and prevent the accumulation of fat in liver and kidney, accelerate the growth of the chickens, and improve the laying rate and hatchability. The lack of the choline in the food will lead to the hypogenesis, coarseness of the leather, chondrify, feebleness and ill ability of mink, pig, rabbit, cow, etc. Adding choline in the bait of all kinds of fish and shrimp, the growth of fish and shrimp will be accelerated, resulting in high yield.
Human Development
In your body, choline is an essential nutrient. The structural integrity of cell membranes–as well as cell signaling, neurotransmission, muscle function and fat transport–all require choline. Choline is also a source of methyl groups, a specific chemical group containing one carbon atom and three hydrogen atoms.
choline salts are choline hydroxide and choline bitartrate. In food stuffs the compound is often present as phosphatidylcholine.
